Still in Advent - Let's Remember the Real Christmas

Saturday 15th December 2012
Dear Friend,
December is zipping like skates on a frozen pond – and it’s almost cold enough for that in the little red valley in Wales! For those of you in the world sharing deepest winter too: I hope you are keeping toasty! For my Aussie pals, and friends in other countries currently enjoying summer – I hope you are keeping cool!
Well, are you ready for Christmas?! You may have got all the cards posted and shopping done (bar food of course) but! Are you spiritually prepared! Ooh, a loaded question indeed. By now though, you will know that I Never Preach so for a simple spiritual boost you can safely take a peek at my latest blog post: 2 Sundays of Advent to Christmas (5 days for second-class post) http://teresaodriscoll.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/2-sundays-of-advent-to-christmas-5-days.html
Let me know how you got on, eh.
In my last diary entry I promised you lots of changes. The first is a new Blog to hold back entries of Dear Diary. Please see: http://teresaodriscolldeardiary.blogspot.com/
The second is a further new Blog for inspiration on all manner of topics. Please see the first post –above – and for subsequent posts visit: http://teresaodriscoll.blogspot.com/

I still haven’t got all of those planned changes on this site as I got sidetracked on other matters. But please do check back soon for:

* New articles – on all sorts of topics - added on a regular basis.

* The  online shop that I have been promising you – in time for last minute Christmas gifts, and not only. If you want to check out what I have set up thus far please visit:

New Month Fresh Start

Saturday 1st December 2012
Dear Friend,
December has arrived! Kalo mina  (good month) – if you are one of my Greek friends, White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits - if you are one of my British friends. And to everyone else I wish you, in plain English, a very happy month!

I hope your week has been a really great one!  A belated Happy Thanksgiving (yes I know it’s over a week ago, but hopefully, better late than never) to all my lovely American friends! My week has been interesting, to say the least; and rather trying in some ways. But I know that everything is working together for good – as they say. And ultimately, some things are turning around in another and far more positive direction.

For one thing, some changes on this site that I have been planning for a while are now coming together nicely. So please check back soon for:

* A new website blog – for information , inspiration, and news – so, for instance, these notes I write to you will be kept on file for future reference.

* New articles – on all sorts of topics - added on a regular basis.

* The  online shop that I have been promising you – in time for last minute Christmas gifts, and not only. If you want to check out what I have set up thus far please visit:

I would be very grateful if you would let me have your feedback. It has taken me forever to work out how to set up the graphics and text and tags and stuff – so complicated; for me anyway. But I have ordered some things to check for quality and delivery time and to make sure I’ve set things up right and … because the stuff is really nice. And I can tell you that I’m really pleased with the gifts! So pretty. Guess what lots of my friends will be having from me this Christmas…?

Before I close I want to take this opportunity to congratulate fellow writer, #John Backman (please see his feedback on my Books page) on the publication of his book:
This describes spiritual practices, mindshifts, and “practical” steps that can reorient our deepest selves from hostility and defensiveness to curiosity and compassion. You can order it direct from order from SkyLight Paths directly  or wherever fine books are sold. (Did you know that for new authors getting books into bookshops is very difficult?) John is a brilliant writer so the book must be excellent.  I’m looking forward to reading it and I hope that you will check it out too. Let me know what you think, eh.
Right, before this diary entry turns into a book… Wishing you a warm and wonderful weekend! Keep in touch…
Love and light

PS I recently read a book where the author said they really disliked exclamation marks. Me? I love them!! You?
